Healthy Eats: Acai Smoothie Bowl

Who said you can only have smoothies through a straw?

If you're a smoothie lover like me, you know how fast those delicious delights can be slurped down. Looking for a way to savor the taste? Behold, the smoothie bowl. 


Smoothie bowls are a great way to turn healthy nutrients into a meal with half the work. Eating the mixture with a spoon rather than sipping through a straw allows you to slow down, enjoy the meal, and reduce the risk of overeating (plus it's really yummy and very simple to make). 


Ingredients:

Chia seeds
V8 Acai Mixed Berry juice
Bag of coconut flakes
Bag of frozen mango chunks
Plain Greek yogurt
Your favorite granola (I used KIND Raspberry Clusters)
Your favorite fruit toppings (I used dragon fruit and strawberries)

Instructions:

1. Blend ice, frozen mango, two scoops of Greek yogurt, and V8 Acai Mixed Berry juice together in a blender until think and smooth
2. Pour the mixture into a bowl
3. Top the bowl with fruit of your choosing, granola, coconut flakes, and chia seeds


That's it!

Very easy, very healthy, and a great go-to for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a snack. This is just a base example of the ingredients you can use to make a smoothie bowl. The options are endless! Pair it with a piece of multi-grain toast and you're set for a great day.
